This is my verse for 2013.
'Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.'
-Matthew 5:6
I am hungry for more of Jesus - more knowledge of Him, more intimacy with Him, more unity with Him - Simply, I want to know Him more. I'm thirsty for His righteousness to be more evident in me than ever before. I WILL PRESS IN! When it's hard, when it's uncomfortable, when I'm exhausted - I will press in. I will receive ALL that He has for me because, only then, will I have anything to give. I DO receive in 2013 - His love, His mercy, His grace, His rest, His riches, His LIFE, His power, His plan. ALL of God's promises to me are 'YES!' and 'AMEN!' I lack for no good thing. My cup runneth over. Surely His goodness and mercy shall follow me all of my days! I will dwell in the secret place of the Most High. I receive His grace because is sufficient for me; his mercy because it is brand new for me, every day! His yoke is easy, and his burden is light. HE will give me rest! My needs are met according to His glorious riches in CHRIST! The very same power that raised Christ from the dead is ALIVE in me! He has a perfect plan and purpose for my life AND YOURS! These promises are for EVERYBODY! Join me on this journey to know this Jesus. He is where you will find ALL that you need. I promise you, because of my confidence in Him, that your life will never be the same if you choose Him in a brand new way.
1st Peter 2:9 says this -
'But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people
belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called
you out of darkness into his wonderful light.'
Knowing God is not only possible, it's essential to succeed in ts life. He tells us exactly how in James 4:8. He says that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.
I believe in you! He believes in you! We can do this! And this is how we know; by the Word.
'For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.'
So I will press in... Reading more, receiving more, Praying more, receiving more, Giving more, receiving more... God is always giving, and in 2013, we WILL receive ALL He has for us - In Jesus' Name! AMEN!
